How much do fangs cost?
Go here to get that info.
What
are the fangs made of?
Acrylic, the same substance used for manicures and finger
nail sets.
How
do they stay on your teeth? Will I need denture
cream or any type of adhesive?
Acrylic is a material that
slightly bends yet holds it's shape. The
fangs basically will clip or snap onto the contours
of your teeth.
Can
I bite or eat with my fangs?
No. You could possibly
hurt yourself, someone else or break
them. However, "passionate
nibbles" and simple "love bites" are
possible but NOT recommended. The acrylic fangs
are only cosmetic. While wearing them, you may breath,
speak or drink. That is all.
My
teeth are unusually shaped. They stick
outward and/or I'm missing a few. Will
you still be able to make me fangs?
YES. Everyone's mouth is
different in many ways. I've dealt with teeth that have
been pushed out by wisdom teeth, unusually small teeth,
broken teeth and missing teeth. I can also add teeth
or "enlarge" them if needed,
so that the attention is on the fangs and not your own
teeth.
I
have an underbite. Will
that be an issue?
Underbites can be tough,
but there is always a solution!
Would
my fangs get stained if I were to drink red wine
or play with fake blood caplets?
Your fangs will stain
like your normal teeth, but they can also be licked
clean or wiped clean like your normal teeth. Certain
lipsticks will slightly stick to the acrylic fangs,
but again, wiping them with a tissue will take care
of that.
I
drink coffee and/or smoke, so my teeth are a little darker
than the average person's. Do you color
match your fangs?
Yes. I have acrylic
colors from "Barbie Doll" white to "Rob Zombie" yellow.
I will match your color.
How
long do the fangs last?
It all depends on the
person. If
you take care of your fangs, they can last for
years. However,
a person's teeth are always moving. Gums get
higher and teeth get longer with age. I've had
mine for over almost 4 years and they still look and
fit fine.
What
happens if I accidently break my fangs?
If you accidently break
your fangs, I will repair them for free the FIRST
time, IF they
are repairable. After that, it will cost you
$25 every
time they need to be repaired, until they are unrepairable.
They can last a long time if you take care
of them. Again, I've had mine for almost 4 years
and I've never broken them.
How
do I clean my fangs? Can I use my toothbrush and
tooth paste?
NO. Never use tooth
paste to clean your fangs. Toothe paste contains
abrasives like baking soda. Clean them with a "baby" toothbrush,
water, and a mild dish washing liquid to kill the bacteria that can build up. Then, set them in a safe spot to "air dry." If you use a towel or napkins to dry your fangs, you may accidently break
them.
Will
my voice change or sound
funny when I speak or sing
with my fangs in?
The average person will get use to them and usually sound OK. However some will have a slight lisp. It all depends on the "height" of the "top" of your mouth. Persons with higher tops will sound better than people with shallow or lower tops.
Will
I have to visit your studio
to get my fangs?
YES. I would need to
meet with you in person in order to make your dental
impression. I have had some long distance
clients send me impressions made by their dentist. This
is a possible option if you cannot travel to my studio.
However, I CANNOT guarantee
that the finished fangs will fit you properly.
